Material & Heat Treatment
180° alloy steel pipe bends are manufactured from alloy steel grades containing Chromium (Cr), Molybdenum (Mo), Vanadium (V), Manganese (Mn), Silicon (Si) and Carbon (C) within the limits specified by the applicable material standard.
Chromium and molybdenum contribute to the material's elevated-temperature mechanical properties and creep strength. Material suitability for specific service conditions depends on operating conditions, design requirements and applicable project specifications.
Heat treatment is performed according to the applicable material specification, qualified manufacturing procedures and purchaser requirements. Typical processing may include normalizing, tempering and other treatments specified by the material grade and applicable standard. Actual heat-treatment conditions depend on the applicable material specification, product size, bending process and project requirements.
Manufacturing Process
Raw Material Inspection → Cutting → Induction Bending / Hot Forming → Heat Treatment → Beveling → Inspection & Testing → Marking → Packing
Formed construction is supplied according to product size, bending radius, manufacturing route and applicable specifications. For welded constructions, welding and applicable PWHT are performed according to qualified welding procedures and project requirements.
Hongcheng controls bending accuracy, heat treatment, wall thickness integrity and inspection throughout the manufacturing process to meet applicable standards and purchaser specifications.
